The HCEG Top 10
The HCEG Top 10 has been a pillar of the Healthcare Executive Group for over 14 years, providing extensive insight into primary opportunities, challenges and issues currently facing healthcare executives in the United States.
Based on HCEG member input gathered during the months leading up to HCEG’s Annual Forum, and ranked during several iterations of voting during the Annual Forum, the HCEG Top 10 encourages continuous and evolving dialog on the main issues and concerns facing member organizations. Each year, the HCEG Top 10 list serves as the keystone for the following year’s industry wide analysis and programming for content created and curated throughout the following year.
2020-2021 Interim COVID-19 HCEG Top 10
The 2021 HCEG Top 10 list was not created due to the cancellation of HCEG’s 2020 Annual Forum. In light of the COVID-19 Flash Survey update to the 2020 Industry Pulse and discussion among HCEG members, HCEG has created the 2020-2021 Interim HCEG Top 10 list.

The 10th Annual Industry Pulse Report
The HCEG Top 10 provides the framework for an annual research survey: The Industry Pulse Report.
Developed in partnership with Change Healthcare over the past 10 years, the Industry Pulse Report research survey is used to gather additional, more detailed information on the opportunities, priorities and challenges faced by health plans and health systems across the country.
The 2020 Industry Pulse Report provides an in-depth analysis into the sentiments of over 445 payer and provider organizations.

HCEG 2020 Top 10 Infographic
The 10th Annual Industry Pulse Report draws on responses from close to 500 healthcare leaders across the nation including payer, provider, and third-party vendor organizations. These respondents were interviewed in the last quarter of 2019 and largely represent healthcare executives and management (24% C-suite, 15% VP/SVP, and 40 director level).
The 2020 Industry Pulse Report exposes widely divergent readiness and perspectives among payers and providers around value-based care, consumerism, interoperability, and more.
